How the enterprise has embraced wearables to keep to keep people healthy, focused and safe
The use of wearable technology is now playing a critical role in how we work. In this session, we’ll cover 3 topics, EH&S, improving focus during learning and reducing permanent brain damage in sport.
Studies in EH&S have identified that when we increase physical activity with employees, we reduce the number of days of absenteeism and improve wellness by investing in EH&S programs to the point that with every $1 spend, $5.18 is saved. Several technologies have been used to assist us track and manage employee well being including basic mobile phones to smart watches. Then second topic is how we’re collaborating with Emotiv to improve learning through using their MN8 EEG Earbuds to track EEG signals to identify if an employee is focused. The final will be on some wonderful research on using IoT sensors in mouthguards to track head trauma in sports.
